Training

Updated June 3, 2005

The ASA Training and Assessment Team is not yet in operation

This Team is vested with the responsibility of establishing -

1) Courses,

2) Assessments, and

3) Training Resources,

to enable our -

a) Ministers, Mediums and Speakers, (administered by the ASA College), and

b) Healers, Readers and Trainers (administered by the ASA Academy),

to become accredited to the established Standards set by the ASA.

The Standards will take into account the criteria required for Self Regulation, Canon Law, the Australian Constitution and input from Members and the MOU.

A Consultative Process is currently being prepared and has been approved in principle by the Management Committee and will form part of the ASA Quality System of Administration.

The Consultative Process will be used for matters involving Rules, Policy,  Standards and Self Regulation.

Recommendations prepared by the Management Committee on matters within this criteria will be prepared in a draft format for presentation to members to consider and comment. After which an amended final draft is prepared for submission to members for acceptance by means of a Special Motion.

The aim of these Standards is to uphold public confidence in Natural Therapies (Complementary Medicine) and the efforts of our Inspired Healers, Readers, Trainers, Mediums, Speakers and Ministers.

The ASA has advertised an Expression of Interest in Trainers and Courses since March 18, 2005.

Your input would be most welcome.

It is not necessary to be a member of the ASA to provide a submission or  comment.

To become a member of the Training Team, as with any other Sub Committee,

requires either -

1) membership of the ASA, by being either -

a) an Individual member of the ASA, or

b) the Nominated Representative of a Group Member of the ASA, or

2) membership of the Committee.

Should you have an interest in and/or wish to be a part of the Team please contact our Secretary on 1300.880.675 or email to  vpresident@spiritual.org.au
